Rubies are the currency in Minecraft Earth. You can use them to buy things from the in-game store.
Rubies can be used to purchase new build plates and to speed up crafting and smelting tasks. Build plates can also be earned through levelling up, however, this is a timely process and you only rewards you with a maximum of 4 build plates. (at levels 5, 10, 15, and 20)
Tappables can sometimes contain rubies. Unlike other blocks and items, they are not actually found in the tappables but are awarded randomly after opening them.
Your inventory does not store rubies. Instead, you can check your ruby balance in the top right of the map screen.
How To Get Rubies For Free
The best way to earn rubies is through opening tappables. Going on walks or travelling slowly in a car or bike will help you find more tappables faster.
You can also earn rubies through completing adventures and challenges.
Rubies can be purchased with real money from the in-game store. The cheapest option is £4.99 and gets you 105 rubies. This is enough to buy the smallest and cheapest 8×8 build plate.
